Mahad Satyagrah or Chavdar Tale Satyagrah was led by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar on 20th March 1927 to allow untouchables to use water in public lake at Mahad, Maharashtra, India. The day is observed as social empowerment in India.
Gandharpale Caves are a group of 31 Buddhist caves. They are mostly Buddhist viharas. The caves have few small stupas located in prayer halls called
Buddhism is a Indigenous & Original thought & way of Life. This treasure is kept alive & spread for mankind through the Stupas’, Caves & Viharas’ over the generation to generation.
Hence to remembrance to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and to conserve Buddhist Culture, Ambedkar Students Association (ASA) has decided to conduct a FREE Educational Trip to “Mahad” and “Gandharpale Caves” on 20 March 2019.
Eligibility: Student who has knowledge about Mahad Satyagrah and History of Gandharpale Caves will be given preference
